Eye or pencil icon for HTML editor?

Is the eye icon 👁 appropriate for the new HTML editor?
Isn't the pencil ✎ used in other apps more intuitive?

May be you should use a HTML icon like </>, search icons on Google.
However that suggest that you should enter HTML code.

I think Davids eye is a better symbol for a wysiwyg editor as the pencil!

Yes, I believe the Edit icon could work. The code icon is misleading, because the functionality is the opposite - you see the code and want to edit rich text. Pick your favorite!

I vote for the current eye icon, a pencil is for making drawings, not for keyboard input.
