Uploading Multiple Albums - In One Go!

I know this may be a silly question....
I sometimes edit my albums to update simple features, and recently I have been doing that.
Setting the scene for this operation, no album is open in the main editing window, all albums have previously been uploaded so no having to set up where the directory target lies.
Would it be possible to select 'highlight' a set of, multiples, albums from my listing on the left side, ie select one and then another and another etc, or pressing Shift and selecting one at each end of a block, thus highlighting all in between..
Then selecting Upload and the whole lot all get uploaded in one go...
I know this may seem bizarre and I do apologise for asking, but it would help me a lot...
Regards, Peter

"Tools|External Tools|Batch make albums" will do the trick. Watch for the option Upload too.

Glad I could help. But that was pure luck to answer before jGromit did.

There is more to this tool, see the external tools section, then batch make album Note the use of dropping a text file onto the tool’s window, it might come in handy if you want to work on particular sets of projects - quicker than selecting them by hand.

Thanks, I shall delve into it all.
I must say, the behind the scenes time and effort thats gone into jAlbum over
the years literally defies belief and you all have done an utterly, utterly amazing job.
Sooo much is expected now but with little or no appreciation of what it all took to do.
Many many thanks to everyone, the batch uploading is fantastic, it never missed a beat
just now when I bit the bullet and selected an entire windows worth of albums... Just a seamless stream flying away!
Well Done
My Best Regards, Peter

After a lot of success with this feature the albums are 'making' well, but then all of a sudden
each album batch started having the statement 'Album not yet uploaded' displayed,
along with a Null Pointer Exception following it.
Could someone tell me what this is, is it due to something in the album code or
is it my internet connection, which is very good with no issues elsewhere.
Basically some album batches are uploading but then some are not... And it applies to an entire batch
Any help would be appreciated as always. I attach a screenshot showing the now very regular statement, I have highlighted it and it appears at the end of each albums details as it scrolls up
Regards Peter

Is there a warning triangle in the bottom right corner of jAlbum’s window?
If yes then click on it to open the system console and copy the error message. Paste it in a post between code tags, see markup on the right.

Just a WAG, but that may be happening with older albums because they were made back when jAlbum didn't keep track of the upload destination. So, maybe the project doesn't contain the information needed to upload it again. Try one of them the "normal" way (open the project, hit Upload), and see what happens. I'm guessing (and it really is just a guess) that it will want you to identify the upload target location.

Ahh, 'Age' now thats a thing!.... And honestly I did wonder about that.
I have no triangles appearing anywhere.
If I open the album and hit 'upload', it knows where to go.
If I run the album through the batch window, it gets 'made' but fails to upload.
However if I force a 'make all' within jAlbum and then run it through the batch window
again, it gets successfully made and, it uploads.... ?

Hmmmm..... If I open an album and try to upload it again, the upload progress window does say something about "processing null." In other words, there's nothing new, so there's nothing to upload. If you make the album again with its current settings, maybe nothing in the output is actually changing. That's a little tough to believe, because at least in my skins, going back a far piece, at a very minimum you'd get a new top-level index page, with an internal line that indicates when it was processed. So even with no real changes, you should get at least one new file.
But this is all above my pay grade. My pallet of gold bullion hasn't arrived from Stockholm this month, so....

Well, I think your stuff is amazing, and I think I am being a complete
plonker here... And am leading you on a wild goose chase.
I had forgotten that there is a 'Force Make All' option in the batch window....
I just checked it and made and uploaded 15 albums in 2 and a half minutes, MatrixSlide,
both old and new ones.
Sorry about that! Jeez!
Regards Peter

Many Thanks for all the help, it was gone midnight last night, my head was spinning and I needed sleep... I definitely dont want to waste your time.
Though the 'force make all' option is present in the batch window it
doesnt seem as powerful or 'consistent' as the 'force remake' option in the jAlbum window.
All albums upload properly every single time using the option in the jAlbum
window, but they fail to upload, sometimes, when using the batch window...
Gromits suggestion about album age occurred to me, but I have always thought they
would be updated when a new skin version came along.
I shall see if I have missed something here, I am sorry for faffing, but there seems to be something slightly different between the two areas with 'make' and 'upload'.
One works every time whilst the other baulks with something. And I have no idea what it is.
Many Many Thanks
Kind Regards, Peter
