The performance of daily life consists of millions of unscripted plays. I seek to capture its promotional poster shots. Street life inspire me as a place to witness and capture “the human condition” within different urban, cultural, religious and social environments.

Hi Michiel, I think your images are magic, the tone method you use to give an everyday image makes it stand out well, you are a master of this, which is why i like them so much, personaly i have tried and failed to get anywhere near this method which i believe to be the method created by a Polish Photographer in the 90's.

if you could give me a hint it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for the kind words Kevin. I think you may be thinking of the work of Andrzej Dragan. It's the only one I can think of for the moment. He developed a very distinct style, which I have briefly dabbled around with a few years back. You can find his "recipe" in the net by searching "Dragan effect". However, I've since developed a processing style that has none of his recipe in it, which I arrived at through a lot of experimentation. I haven't found a match yet, but if you do come across it, I'd be very interested to see it. Please let me know where I can find it.
Regards

Thank you.

What about the colors...?

The color effects are produced in my post-processing technique, which is rather complex to describe here - my "11 herbs and spices" that I still try to keep to myself for the moment :-) It may seem counter intuitive, but my images are generally desaturated by about 20-30%, depending on the image.

Sorry Michiel, but I have seen similar style of work and especially post process somewhere before and besides that some sharing of knowledge always helps humanity become better and better! :) Anyway, thank you!
