I think about photography as a form of communication with my model, viewer, with God, with love, with fear, with the future and the past, with dreams and memories.
Photography is also my way to be intimate with people – my model or my viewer. My images are not a reaction to what is going on with the world at a present moment, rather how my personal world has been affected.
Feelings come before thoughts, which is one of the reasons why I don’t like to explain my photographs. The other reason is that I don’t want to lead an imagination of a person to a particular direction and would rather let it wonder freely. I want my images to be emotionally charged and express the level of intimacy (or lack of it) my model and I had.
