San Juan was established in the early 1500s on top of a rugged cliff-faced peninsula by Spanish conquerors. Today a much larger metropolis has grown out around it, but Old San Juan still retains most of its original buildings, including heavy stone forts, fine colonial shops, churches and plazas.

Here are 24 photos of stunning Old San Juan from my trip in April, 2016. Enjoy!

Following in the footsteps of famous Japanese woodblock print series '12 Views of Mt. Fuji' I've created this photo gallery of Agua Volcano.

One very desireable attribute of many professional images is a sense of spacial depth, referred to as a Deep Depth of Field. This is particularly true of landscapes. But it can also be important for cityscapes, architectural shots and even close-up images. This photo gallery presents my best examples of deep DoF to date.
