My collection of both analog and digital photographs spans the years from the 1950’s to now, a hobby with no set theme but with nature and urban photography predominant. Born in the UK, I emigrated to Canada in 1962. I built my own darkroom and for many years worked solely with black and white film and did all my own printing. The digital allure took hold in 2004, when I all but abandoned analog photography and dismantled my darkroom.
In 2020 stories about film in various media tweaked my analog revival. I still had my Nikon F and a Nikkormat FT2, so why not use them again?
My photographs today are a mix of film and digital, but mostly film, both colour and black and white. I do all my own processing and digitize the negatives using my digital camera, a Panasonic GH2 with a 55mm f3.5 Micro-Nikkor lens. Post processing is done in Lightroom with Negative Lab Pro software.
