3.0.0 Dec 21, 2020 (current)

We use now a compiled GUI which requires as minimum jAlbum version 20.3

It is now also possible to download GPS tracks as GPX-files.

The new window check-mark for the download GPS track URL has been removed. Instead of GPS-tracks you can use the 2nd link also to download any file type.

In the panoramic image custom panel, renamed to FancyBox panel, the panorama fields are only enabled for an image.

If you hover on a folder thumbnail and choose 'More...' and 'Edit' and next open the skin panel on the right you can enter text for in a folder album:
The name of the GPS track log file (ZIP- or GPX-extension),
an URL for the 'More info' button and text and
HTML-code to be inserted after the buttons and before the Profile image.

Help page added for the new FancyBox panel.

New FancyBox user manual, where information for the Slide Show 4 and PhotoSwipe skins have been removed.

If check-mark 'Album of albums' was set and there where not only web-locations in the album the close tags of a thumbnail were sometimes incorrect and panorama images were not correctly displayed. This is partly solved: this is only possible if the web-locations are the last images in the album, all 'normal' images should precede the web-locations. The panorama viewers do not show next and previous image buttons.

If 'Link to originals' is used for spherical panoramas, the originals should not be too large, otherwise nothing is displayed (in particular on mobile devices): 9MB was OK, but 20MB was too much. The same limits hold for the images in the slides folder if 'Link to scaled-down images only' has been selected.

The Fancybox skin combines the popular Justified-Gallery type of grid (images maintain their aspect ratio, and are resized to have the same height, it is also used by Flickr) and fancybox, probably the world’s most popular light-box script. See and
It is also possible to select a masonry layout for the thumbnails in the gallery.

So like the Slide Show 4 and the PhotoSwipe skin, it is a small single page html5 compliant skin which gives maximum attention to your photos, because it will fill your screen with your photo, by adapting the image size to the screen size of your tablet or computer. The focus is not lead away by other small pictures or text (except the optional image captions).

There are several options to create the theme image and the album title may be displayed at any place in the theme image or above the theme image.

Navigation and control is possible via buttons, via the keyboard on a PC and via one finger swipes on the iPhone or iPad and other touch screen devices. The buttons at the top of the index page are optional and can be hidden or displayed by clicking the theme image or the album title.
Navigation on the slide page: Swipe left / right to the next or previous image, spread to zoom in, swipe up or down to close the slide page and return to the index page.

The skin has a responsive layout of the thumbnails gallery: it make an elegant image gallery with the Justified Gallery library. A Justified Image Grid respects the original aspect ratio, no detail is lost due to cropping. It is also possible to display the thumbnails in a grid without the use of the Justified-Gallery.
The height of the thumbnails can be selected as a % of the screen height.

Seven transition types are selectable by the viewer. Several other settings can be changed by the viewer like the button size and the font size, which is is useful for small devices like an iPhone and in case you have troubles reading small letters. It is also possible to change here the viewing time for a slide in the optional slide show presentation and the viewer can decide to show the Slide image always in fullscreen mode

This skin can handle large image descriptions on the slide page: the description can be displayed below the image with a 'more info' text-link which displays a longer description below the image or in a new modal window. It is also possible to display long descriptions in a side panel right of the image,

This skin allows you to use one central resources folder for all your albums.

You can use plain text or html code both in the album description and in the slide descriptions.

Via 7 optional links on the index page, displayed as standard text buttons, as icon buttons, in a tool-bar or in the menu-bar at the top of the index page, you can add links to other albums or web-pages in a new window or in the same window. You can also display a web-page in a frame on the index page. The optional responsive menu-bar can be replaced by a Hamburger button on small devices.

Optional Facebook.Twitter, Pinterest, WhatsApp and email 'Share' button on the index and slide page and each slide has an optional 'Download' link.

An album may contain a mix of photos and movies.

jAlbums web-locations are supported:
You can make a top album of albums or display the web-location in the slide page.
It is also used to show YouTube or Vimeo video’s.

If GPS information is available in a photo, the location can be displayed in Google Maps.

Use my program MakeMap to display the photos in a Google Maps or Google Earth map with links to the slide pages.

If the album contains wide (panorama-) pictures, an expand icon is added to the tool-bar on the slide page, if check-mark 'Spherical Panoramic image' or 'Cylindrical Panoramic image' in the Panoramic image panel for an image has been set. For a 360° cylindrical panorama, you should set also set check-mark '360° panorama', in that case you can endless scroll through the panorama. If you set the 'Spherical Panoramic image' check-mark, the panorama can be viewed in Jérémys Photo Sphere Viewer.

The slide page can be embedded in a web-page without the use of an iframe or JSON data.
