After months of preparation, coding, tweaking and testing (thank you all testers!), we're proud to present the Jalbum Breezebook! Now you can make great looking photo books straight from your Jalbum albums and have them delivered to your door. We call it "Breeze" as making them takes a fraction of the time it usually takes to make a photo book. We can do this by picking up your existing images, captions, their ordering and album description straight from the albums. We're also keeping a plain layout of one image per page. Limiting the layout options helps you getting a great looking book done in minutes instead of hours and days.
Attention to detail
If you haven't been impressed by a photo book, you haven't seen a good one :-). We have seen bad ones, belive me. Those with floppy covers, thin paper, tacky design and print that doesn't do your photos justice. Forget them. The Jalbum Breezebook is made with attention to detail in every aspect. When picking print partners in Europe and the US we had high quality demands. We now have labs that offer great print quality on premium paper, well bound onto a stylish matte hard cover. We're also very pleased with the size of the book. Picking a good size wasn't easy. It was not until we could hold and flip through several test books we settled for a larger 'coffee table' size (28×21.6 cm / 11×8.5"). Breezebook is not only a breeze to make, it presents your images in a gorgeous way.
Getting started
There are three ways to make a book: from scratch, from an album published to jalbum.net and straight from the Jalbum desktop application (8.9 or above). You can also collect images from several albums to a Breeze book. So either fire up Jalbum on your desktop and use the new "Photo book" button, or sign in to jalbum.net and hover the mouse over your albums. There is now a "Create photo book" button. This will take you to the photo book designer where you can preview the final book, add more images and make changes to image selection, arrangement, captions and such.
Pricing
Saving the best for last :-). The Breezebook starts at €24 base price. This gives you 20 pages (19 images). Additional pages are €0.50 each. Given the size and the quality of the book, this is a great price. To celebrate this release we also want to offer an additional 20% discount on books ordered before October 1.
