Google Photos importer

jAlbum 37.6 can easily import images from Google Photos along with your precious metadata. Here’s how.

If you have images locked up in Google Photos, we’re now providing a tool to, not only import them into jAlbum, but making them, and the metadata, available to any software that is xmp compliant (like jAlbum, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, digiKam, ACDSee Photo Studio, Photo Mechanic, Apple Photos, Windows File Explorer etc).

The tool imports metadata like titles, descriptions, user comments, people names, GPS coordinates and image likes and stores it inside each image file. It works on jAlbum 30 and up. To install it, simply download and double click this file:

(requires at least jAlbum 30)

Now restart jAlbum. The tools is available via File → Import and under the “Add” button:

If you encounter any problems importing images, just let us know by posting to our user forum.
