Durham Castle MoodlightingDurham Castle - The Great Hall - 12th September 2010 As a recommended supplier to the Castle I've done many weddings there, and also uplit the area around the Top Table - the Raised Dais. But - I've always wanted to do the entire Great Hall, so when Kathryn asked me to do just that for her amazing Wedding I was delighted! It's a big job, requiring 40 LED Parcans, LED Floods, miles of cabling and some tall ladders to get up into the Nook windows plus about 4 hours of setup time and 2.5 hours to pack it down. The daylight photos here were taken at around 1pm and in bright sunshine, so with 7 huge windows there is a LOT of light in the room. Even so, the woodwork and parts of the gorgeous stonemasonry is starting to be picked out, and once it got dark the Wow factor was immense! Normally this room is lit only by the pendant lights which are either on or off, no dimmers. Although a beautiful room, the lighting does no justice to the majesty of Durham Castle at night. With the right lighting it becomes a moody, atmospheric and magical place. The exterior floodlights shine through 2 of the windows leaving a golden imprint on the far walls, whilst the moodlighting gives texture and atmosphere to the dark woodwork and majestic masonry. Please note I was not providing the disco at this event so any photos including the disco or disco lighting are nothing to do with me! http://www.colincook.co.uk/访问相册: http://djcolincook.jalbum.net/Durham%20Castle%20Moodlighting/
