Star Wars Geek with a old camera
Nice NYC shots. Did you ride the Circle Line cruise for some of them? You got some great shots!
Yes, I made the "half" cruise - from Hudson river, in the bay, under Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges in the East River up to the United Nations and back.
This cruise went closer to New Jersey, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, Governor's Island and Brooklyn coast, giving pretty good opportunities to see islands and wide angle shots of the Manhattan skyline.
Then it stereed closer to Manhattan coast going back, so you may pick up details: Battery Park and the southern tip give some nice shots, the Pier 17 with the old vessels, Staen Island ferry pier, Battery Park, Fort Clinton and so on.
Parade at Taunus Wunderland - Germany - september 2009
Paris, october 2007.
At the Grand Rex theatre, in Boulevard Poissonniere.
Reunion II was a small event compared to Celebrations, but it is one of the few official Lucasfilm appointments in Europe.
I was fortunate enough to be there to reinforce the French Base of the Rebel Legion.
The creativity in these costumes is really impressive. I once read the instructions on how to create one of those stormtrooper armors. Just the molding and shaping of the plastic took days!
I found this tutorial on the net. http://www.tk560.com/stormtrooper.ht ml I wish these guys would use jalbum to create something like a photo tutorial to build stuff like this. I think it would look fine.
no, the lightsabers are one of the few items officially produced under license Lucasfilm.
You may also get some toy helmets (of poor quality) from official sources, but only the rebel pilot helmet sometimes is used as a "first time helmet".
Anything else is homemade or found in the net.
Yes, I can imagine. It seems there is a market for lightsabre toys also. I bet the jedi guys don't build those themselves! :)
yes, armors are quite difficult to do, to mold the plastic.
The Rebel's outfits require less special equipment, but require much more research in fabric, shades, dyes and accessories than the plain plastic-boys.
It' s little strange world, Star Wars costuming...
You have not idea how much...
I'm a bit overworked with albums to put on: Los Angeles Celebration IV, London Celebration Europe, Paris Reunion II, Bruxelles Star Ware Expo opening still waits their own gallieries.
But "It's not the age, it's the mileage."
I start to know how to use this album.
Impressive... most impressive - as Vader said-
the first one of many.
This is only the teaser, I have 300 hundred photos to choose from.
Let me work a bit on: I have Los Angeles, London, Paris, Brussels conventions photos...
Yes, most impressive. I believe it is the first Star Wars album on jalbum. Good job!
