Special Princess

My name is Wichita van Rijkom and I’m the proud owner of a home filled with pets that we love and that keep me with a goal to live for. My life has had some ups and downs which eventually led to me being not able to work but having my pets around me to have a goal to work for.
Our home is filled with pets, we have; 2 cats (an Birman Bouchra and Ragdoll Fantasia), 6 chinchilla’s (Hermione and her daughter Piper, Phoebe and her daughter Cordelia, father Angel and Phoebe’s brother Buffy), a teddy rabbit (McDreamy) and last but not least my big loves... My ‘baby’ smooth coated Chihuahua Ashley, my two Sheltie girls Abby and her daughter Eevee and our youngest Chinese Crested Elphaba which entered our family at the end of March 2012.
In 2008 I started my breedingplans with Abby and in 2009, after Abby had measured up to all the requirements that the Dutch Shetland Sheepdog club has for it’s breeders, Abby had her first litter. Shortly after the birth of that litter our kennelname Special Princess was approved and in 2010 Abby’s 2nd litter was born. We kept one of Abby’s daughters out of her 2nd litter, our little Eevee which makes our pack complete. The breeding that I did with Abby was something I really loved to do but unfortunately due to circumstances (see my website for more info) my breeding plans with her (and her daughter) stopped at the beginning of 2011. We do hope pick up our breedingplans eventually with Elphaba but time will tell of that’s a realistic thought or not.
