I started my professional photographic journey as a videographer at CSPAN in the early days, as I was one of 7 employees, located in a small make shift studio located in a business building in Alexandria, VA just outside of the District of Columbia.

It was there I created video wallpaper. It acted as fill between programming. We would run continuous clips of slowly moving video that I shot panning left to right or right to left and up and down and pulling slowly away (my small contribution to cinema verite on cable) from various Federal buildings and other notable architecture found throughout our Nation's Capital.

These clips lasted from between :10 to :30 minutes and I edited them in away that would include many, many of our national treasures.

I picked up on 35mm in 1967. I bought a cheap plastic 35mm 125speed film camera. Then in 1984 a purchase through JC Penny's with a Canon AE-1, and now I have a Canon Rebel Xti EOS.

It's still an organic learning experience as I am discovering the beauty of our planet almost daily through my travels in Northern California and beyond.
