Hello all, The photographs in my gallery are a mix of some of my work. I have been accused of enjoying the process more than the result, and I believe it may be true. I do all antique processes from Dags to Film, and everything in between. I hope you enjoy my photos from my antique cameras.

I posted some of my antique style side by side stereoviews. To view them you want to look directly at your screen. Relax your eyes and stare through the screen. A third image will appear in between which is 3D stereo.

These photos were taken with 100 year old glass plate cameras. This is exactly what they looked like 150 years ago. The interesting thing being, that with all the technology of "TOY STORY" it reall isn't anything new, and the method is the same. I'm shoiwing you the original 3D, as it was from the very beginnings of photography itself.

The cross-eyed views can be viewed by gently crossing your eyes and a 3D image will apear. Enjoy.

Dotazione

Antique Cameras from 1850's to 1952. Mostly medium to large format. All Photos in my galleries are taken with film or plates in these antique cameras and processed in my own darkroom.

Hello Mr. Manley,

I came about your profile when I saw your post in the forums about photography equipment. You had posted a question in 2008, wondering if there were any glass plate camera shooters here. Well, I used to have an 8x10 view camera. Either I misplaced it somewhere (how's that possible, right?), or it got stolen when a contractor went in to fix the house, and I didn't notice it. Anyhow, you have two mixes here that I love: Period costuming, and 3D. Great mix!

How are things with you, and also your photography?

Take care,
Huy

To view these, gently cross your eyes until a third image appears , then focus on it and you should see 3D. These were taken with 100 year old glass plate cameras a couple of years ago.Hope you like them. There are not too many people doing these anymore, but after you see them, who wants to look at a plain old flat 2d picture ?.

These are side-by-side views. To view them, sit directly in fron of your monitor and gaze through the screen, presenting a seperate image for each eye. Your brain will merge them and form a 3rd image in the middle. You want to focus on the center image and not look at the sides or you will loose the 3D. It sometimes helps to move right up to the screen, staring through it,, like off into the distance, then moving away from the screen slowly until the center 3D image is in focus.

These look exactly like the Victorian stereo cards from 150 years ago. They were all taken with 100 year old glass plate cameras a couple of years ago. Enjoy!
