Ready to create your first Jalbum? It's easy, we'll show you how.
After downloading and installing the Jalbum application, you should find an icon with our frog mascot Dor in your application/programs folder or on your desktop. Double click it to launch Jalbum.
Simply sign in with the same username and password you entered when you signed up on Jalbum.net
If you don't have an account you can still use Jalbum, but you will need your own site to publish an album. Also, you are missing out on a bunch of neat stuff such as Widgets.
Drag and drop images or folders with images from your computer to the big empty area in the Jalbum application. You can also use the "Add" button in the top left corner. Jalbum will ask for an Album name and album description. Tell the story of your album and click ok.
Skins are templates that add graphics and functionality to your album. Select a skin for your album in the skin select box. Most skins come in different graphical flavours called styles. Pick a style in the style select box, to create the look you want.
Push the Make Jalbum button and Jalbum will scale your images for the web (without touching your orginals) and make your Jalbum.
When the Jalbum has been made it is saved on your computer. You can preview it with the preview button if you want.
If you're not satisfied with the result, go back and make some changes and click the "Make album" again.
When you are done, upload your Jalbum to the Internet by clicking the Publish button. If you signed in during start up, Jalbum will put your album on the web automatically.
Your Jalbum is now online and it's time to show off your fine work. After publishing you will be presented with a page with more options for your album, like sharing your Jalbum with friends through email, social networks and more. (You can always reach these options from your Albums page when you're signed in on http://www.jalbum.net.)
Enjoy the result of your work, click the link with your album name and check out your masterpiece.
