Hi,
I’m trying to import keywords out of an XML-Sidecar-File.
RobM was so kind to write a tool for me that converts the keywords from the XML-File to a CSV-File.
That works fine, the file is attached here.
If he (in Great Britain) uses the import-dialogue of jAlbum, the keywords are imported and placed to the corresponding photos in the album.
If I try to do the same here in Germany, I fail.

In the dialogue „Import from a database file“ I can choose the generated CSV-file - but in the second field „Map fields to XMP properties“ there are no columns in the table.
I tried all preset mappings, the toggle of „First line contains column names“ is set to TRUE.
I can not use a right-click to change something in the table-field.

RobM asked me to report this problem here.

I’m using the following configuration:

macOS Big Sur 11.4
jAlbum 23.2.4
Java 14
Skin PhotoBlogger 3.16

Attachments:
2 photos with XMP-sidecar
The XMP-To-CSV-tool of RobM

It would be great, if You could help me.

Best regards
Ronni

I tried reproducing the problem by setting jAlbum's language and the computer's region to German/Germany, but it sadly works here (I'm using Mac). I've adjusted the tool Rob made to use tab separated fields instead. I think that works better. I also switched to using the operating system's standard file chooser. Put the attached tool in jAlbum's tools folder and retry!

Sorry - it failed again.
I then closed jAlbum, opened it again, startet a new project with the Tiger skin, imported different photos and used Rob's tool again.
The CSV was generated but the import went wrong again.

I've also updated jAlbum's XMP importer extension to hopefully detect the comma separated CSV style Rob used. Try this one. Put it inside jAlbum's "ext" folder, then restart jAlbum and try importing the original CSV file again. Does jAlbum detect the columns now?

Updated the file once more. Please try this one

Great! Now I guess you can use either Rob's original tool or my modification to it.
