I am using Tiger 2.95 and jAlbum 19.1. I get a vertical bar in the banner when opening a new slide show in Chrome but not in Firefox. The vertical bar also shows briefly when making a new album in Tiger but disappears after a couple of seconds.

Please see the two screen captures attached. Can anyone tell me what is happening in Chrome. I have never had this happen before. I can open previous slide shows in Chrome and this vertical bar is not there. Since it shows briefly when making a new album it leads me to believe it's a Tiger issue.

I look forward to your feedback,

Jim

We need a link to the album. Can't diagnose a screenshot.

Below is the url to the album. As I said, the vertical bar only shows in Chrome.

I have opened the previous albums in Chrome and they do not display the vertical bar.

The vertical scrollbar is showing up because you appear to have inserted a bunch of hard-coded HTML breaks into the title of the album.

I can see what you're trying to do, here - push the date down to the bottom of the hero image. But using HTML breaks is not the way to go about it - it's too difficult to control the positioning, since a <br> is affected by the font size. So, the first step is to get rid of all the hard-coded <br> characters in your title, so that you're left with just this:
<h1>Kai, Isabella, and Niven's Baptism</h1><h3>at St. Catherine's Church, Stuttgart</h3><h2>October 27, 2019</h2>
Now head for Tiger > Site > Custom code > CSS and add a new line (below the one you've already got in there):
.hero .hero-image header > div > h2:nth-of-type(2) {padding-top: 170px;}
You can tinker with that 170 to get the position right, but don't try to cut it too close - browsers don't all render things exactly the same, pixel-for-pixel.

Thank you,

I understand, I will try your suggestion. My html is dangerous.

Thank you again, you always manage to bail me out :-)

When I grow up, I want to be as good as you,

Jim
