When trying to create an album I get a host of messages. This is not new to JA 17.0 - I suspended using this program since version 15 due to this problem. JRE is updated both 32-bit and 64-bit to 19.1 - so what's wrong with my JA installation (Win7 x64)?

This problem is due to a mix of old and new files. Adobe made an undocumented API update to their xmp core library that is the root of this evil. Open jAlbum, then open it's config folder (Tools->Open directories->Config directory and delete any "lib" or "ext" folders found there. Finally close jAlbum, uninstall it (don't worry, your settings and albums will be left). Now ensure that NO files are left under C:\Program Files\jAlbum. If you find it, delete those. Finally reinstall jAlbum again. The problem should now be gone.

Thank you very much, David!
The crucial part was ┬źNow ensure that NO files are left under C:\Program Files\jAlbum┬╗ . Now things work as expected!
