I have had a Turtle now Tiger album and it had been showing region tags. I upgraded to the latest version (I was several levels back) and I just noticed that all the images now simply have print and download as the image buttons (see image.jpg), even though the tiger settings show share, print, download and regions/face tags (see tiger.jpg) as selected. Did something change, or is this a bug that got introduced.

Can you please send me a link to the album? I can't debug a screenshot. :)

Probably not all of these functionalities have bugs, it's just not the whole album was processed after changed settings.

Check if "Settings / Advanced / Process subdirectories" is ON and "Process only updated subdirectories" is OFF.

Also refresh the browser with Ctrl-F5 to get rid of the old files.

Thanks, the album is http://www.maryandbrian.com/album Attached is the full jalbum settings., as well as a snapshot of the advanced tab (settings are as you stated they should be). As I said this used to work, it appears at some point an upgrade caused it to stop working (I had applied server skin upgrades over the past week to get to the latest). I have tried the refresh steps already and tried it in all browsers I have access to with the same result (chrome, firefox, IE).

I have updated my sample album with face tags with the latest skin version.
http://samples.jalbum.net/Tiger%20demo%202/index.html#img=cooking-ingredient-cuisine-kitchen.jpg
... and tags seem to work still.

Can you please attach one of those photos you think the regions have disappeared?

You can also check with right-click -> List metadata and look for xmp.mwg-res:Regions tags.
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions=
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:AppliedToDimensions=
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:AppliedToDimensions/stDim:h=664
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:AppliedToDimensions/stDim:unit=pixel
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:AppliedToDimensions/stDim:w=1000
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:RegionList=

Go to http://www.maryandbrian.com/album/FamilyAndFriends/Summer/2018/Party/index.html#img=P1030690.JPG

There are only 2 buttons print and dowload although per the jalbums-settings.jap I have asked for share and People (neither of which is showing). Attached is the list meta data for that picture which clearly shows the meta data is there.

Under Album > Settings > Advanced > Metadata, try checking Generate JSON data and making the album again.

Make sure "Settings / Advanced / Metadata / Include photographic data in generated pages" otherwise jAlbum will not pass the metadata to the skin.

Regarding the Share button: it's not enough to turn it on the Lightbox panel, please select some in the "Settings / Site / Social" page. Note, only some of those can work on separate images, like Twitter or Email - I don't remember all. That's a limitation in how these social sites work. Most of them will only share the static page (index page), but not generated content, like the Lightbox images.

Sorry, I see your screenshot shows this option is ON, but in the jalbum-settings.jap I found keepMetaData=false - although I'm not sure this is the name of this variable... I will check...

Okay where we are. I did get the share button back by setting up social. I did turn on Include photographic data in generated images (I had in pages but not in images) and regenerated but no luck regions still don't show up. I have attached
1) snapshot of the advanced setting metadata
2) current version of jalbum-settings.jap
3) the jpg that I sent the link to in the previous post which contains the meta data

All the pictures in this album have the meta data maintained via Windows Photo Gallery. Thanks!

Thanks for the photo - this did help!

It seems the underlying javascript library has changed - which is rather unexpected - and the old way of checking an empty array returned a false negative. The skin was thinking Picasa regions exist in the image so it didn't start extracting Microsoft regions. This is something really unexpected. I have fixed the code and will upload the skin soon.

Now the skin extracts both data, I believe this won't break anything...

Its installed and working perfectly now. I did not need to enable Include photographic data in generated images to make it work! Thanks Again!
