Is it possible to integrate a link to the slim Skin? For example in a contant page or perhaps, even better in a menue Point on the left side?

The developer of the skin has been gone for over three years, so unless you want to modify the code yourself, it's unlikely that any new functionality will be added.

But maybe the existing options can give you what you want, in an odd way. Create an album with no images at the top level - put all of your images in a folder or folders (with subfolders, if you like). Then, see the attached screenshot.

Thanks JGromit for the tip. Nice, but that would mean that the link is only possible instead of the home menue (on top of the colum), am I right or do I miss something (which would be cool, because I wanted to put a link to my videography site which is made with Matrix.
http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/

I want to make it look like nearly like this bananalbum:
http://www.lineup-shots.com/

Could this be possible?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, it appears to be "Home," or "Other Site," but not both.

...videography site which is made with Matrix.

Odd skin choice for videos - they're not responsive to the viewport size in Matrix. Almost any of my other skins - Gromit, Neptune, Saturn - would be a better choice, I think.

On most of my devices rhe videography-matrix site looks good. Not on yours?
So you think there is no way to get video-link on the bottom of the menue colum?
Couldn't you develop a skin which looks a bit like slim or bananalbum? :-)
Seems that a lot of people are looking for a skin like this.

On a large monitor, the videos are too small, though since they seem to be YouTube and Vimeo videos, maybe don't want to show them larger, anyway. On a phone, the site is pretty much unusable (Matrix is definitely not phone-friendly).

So you think there is no way to get video-link on the bottom of the menue colum?

That's a Javascript-driven skin, so the usual HTML/CSS tinkering is of no use. If you want to wade into the skin's script and try to alter it, be my guest. Not my thing.

Couldn't you develop a skin which looks a bit like slim or bananalbum? :-)

Look at Comet. No video support (there won't be), and at least for now, no provision for adding arbitrary links to the folder menu.

Or maybe you should just find a new skin that doesn't look like BananAlbum or slim.

ETA: Comet isn't entirely phone-friendly, either. Same underlying script as Matrix, with some of the same "small display" problems. Better than Matrix, but still falls a bit short.

A hack which may be good enough:
Open the skin's folder and navigate to res/js/main.js
Open that file and move down to line 196
if (replaceHomeLink) {
      link = "<a href='" + homeLink + "'>" + homeText + "</a>";
} else {
      link = $("<span>").append(homeText);
}

Change it to
if (replaceHomeLink) {
    link = "<a href='" + homeLink + "'>" + homeText + "</a><br><li><a href=\http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/\">Videography</a></li>";
} else {
    link = $("<span>").append(homeText + "<br><li><a href=\"http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/\">Videography</a></li>");
}

Save the changes and rebuild the album.

Hello RobM,

this worked out perfectly and made the trick- great.
Do you think there is also a way to put the menue Point "videography" in between the forelast menue Point "neuer Ordner 5" and the "contact" menue-point (see Attachement)?
This would be the last missing Thing to get it ready for uploading :-)

Thanks again very much.

Not sure, I haven’t fully looked at the code, I can look again tonight.
If you want an easy hack without any code change then:
Add an empty page, the same way you added the contact page and place it just before the contact.htt icon.
Edit the empty page, remove all of the code and replace it with a html page redirect to your videography page.
Rebuild the album and try the new link.

Hi again,

thanks for the tip which I executed. I erased everything from the new page and filled only "http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/". But then I only have the text (not as a link) in the window.
Is there a way to make out of the menue Point "new page) a link?

You need to make the page a HTML page.

The old way of doing it was
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=''http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/'">
</head>
<body></body>
</html>

A better way though is
<html>
<head>
<script>
window.location = "http://www.lineup-shots.com/videography/";
</script>
</head>
</html>

Cool, thanks RobM, this made the trick and worked out. Only and hopefully last Problem is the fact that I have now two videography menue Points - one forelast (like disered) and a second Point (see Attachement).
Any ideas how to get rid of the one below the Portfolio Point?
Once again, many thanks for your time and help.

Thanks, I got it my mistake. I Forget to erase the lines from 196.

I am realy, realy thankful for your help guys.
Now, I can go an fill the Folders with my Pictures.

By the way, do you think, there is a way to make a Little vertical space in between the last Picture Folder menue Point and the contact Point (just to seperate the main Folders from the contact Formular)?

Hey Gromit, once again asking why the videography site from you Matrix is unusable on phones. On my devices it Looks like it should. I made the Videos small (but that was my Intention, maybe should Change this...), but they turn if I turn the Display. They seem responsive?
On your other Skins, would there be the possibility to give the thumbnails (links to YouTube) a title or Headline about the Name of the Video?
Zhanks for your help and cheers
