Hi there. I'm moving my website over to wix and want to embed my album on one of the pages. Wix specifically says the embed code has to be https. Of course, I tried it anyway. My album doesn't show up when the site is published. Is there anyway to create a secure album with this software? I've disabled all the widgets as I read somewhere here that might be a thing. BUT, they won't go away, even after dumping my cache several times. I've always hosted my own sites, so this hasn't been an issue.
There's no such thing as a "secure album." The album is just a bunch of HTML pages and CSS files - internally, there's nothing "secure" or "insecure" about it.
If you want to use https:// when calling your album from somewhere else, the server that's hosting it has to have SSL support enabled. How one does that depends upon the host - these days, many hosts provide security certificates for free, but on others, you'd need to obtain one and have it installed on your host site.
No problem with widgets, BTW. The jAlbum site is now fully https:// friendly (though we occasionally stumble on something that didn't get converted.)
