Hoping to remove gradient from background of album title

In the Header section, there is the Album Title. It has an rgba background with a gradient. My goal is to remove the gradient, and just go back to the default transparent background. I found the hook (.hero .hero-image header) but cannot seem to override the attributes, which, I believe, are these:
background: rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.8);
background: -webkit-linear-gradient(legacy-direction(90deg), rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.8) 0%, rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.5) 60%, rgba(17, 17, 17, 0) 100%);
background: linear-gradient(90deg, rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.8) 0%, rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.5) 60%, rgba(17, 17, 17, 0) 100%);

I entered some custom CSS in the Site > Custom Code > CSS tab, but it has no effect. I was hoping that the "important" attribute would do the trick. I've made and re-made the album, uploaded it to a test folder to check it online, cleared my browser cache just to be sure, but still the gradient remains)

.hero .hero-image header {

background: rgba (0,0,0,0,) !important;

}

I have limited skills, and have no doubt I'm overlooking something easy to change (hopefully!).

Thanks to anyone who could help!

Try this:
.hero .hero-image header {background: none;}

Gah! Of course. (*slaps forehead*)

Thanks for that Gromit, it does exactly what I need it to do!
