I can't detect a pattern to this, but when "messing around" with new skin versions, I periodically get this error in the console:

And another one, which I've been seeing for years. This one pops up in the jAlbum console if I'm using some other application (like a text editor), and doing a lot of copying and pasting:

And another one. This one pops up sometimes when all I've done is launch jAlbum, choose a skin, open the skin files for editing, and just do a little "looking around," like searching for a string.

I've seen it too, but I don't know what's triggering it. I think it's specific to the look & feel you're currently using.

Attachment JTextPad.jar (1.0 MB)
I suspect one thing here. Please try the attached version of JTextPad. Put it inside jAlbum's "ext" folder.

Updated JTextPad plugin to fix illegalStateException occuring occasionally when opening documents for editing.

I'll keep an eye on it. Tough to test, of course, since I've gotten different random errors, and can't reliably reproduce any of them. They've always seemed to pop up pretty much out of nowhere.

BTW, this one has nothing to do with JTextPad - it pops up when I'm doing copying and pasting outside of jAlbum entirely, like in NoteTab Light. I suspect the other application is locking the clipboard, and jAlbum gets upset about it for some reason, even though it's just "idling," with nothing open.

I've at least fixed the "IllegalStateException" issue (by silently ignoring it). Update attached.

I'll let you how these fixes work out (if I can tell). I suspect all of them are events that just need to be ignored - they're not causing any actual problems in the application, just odd console dumps.

Yes, that's correct to assume. If I can't address them all, I should probably at least ensure that they are silently "eaten" by jAlbum so we maintain respect for errors that are being logged to the system console.

Do you actually get that error with v13.9? I thought I've added a workaround for that error.

I haven't seen that one in quite a while. I believe that one has been cured.

I updated JTextPad.jar once again (see earlier post) now identifying and fixing that IllegalStateException.
