monkeyboy made the tool
Create skin modal file to generate a 'SkinModel.java' file in the skin's 'plugins' folder with an entry for each skin variable to define the default value.
I tried this and it works fine, but unfortunately it gives a side-effect if you do not use compiled UI-code, see
this thread.
But there is already another file, headless-settings.jap, which contains also an entry for each skin variable to define the default value for online and console use. This file can be made in jAlbum.
My proposal is to use file headless-settings.jap also to set the default values of the skin variables.
This has a number of advantages:
- Only one tool, which already exists in jAlbum is required to make that file.
- It works for compiled and un-compiled code.
- It works also with Web based skin user user interfaces .
and I see no disadvantages. So I hope this will be implemented!
