notification e-mails not working anymore Part 2

I'm referring to the thread http://jalbum.net/forum/thread.jspa?threadID=50696. I have now changed my email address but still don't receive notifications from threads that I'm watching. I only receive notifications of private messages to my new as well to my old email address.

In the thread I'm watching under "watched options", I discovered that my old email address is still being used. That's the reason why I open a new thread to see if this new thread will use my new or my old address. In any case, both addresses should work.
Could somebody post a comment here please to check this? Thanks!

I changed back to my old address because it does not matter. Neither worked.

You should put this on "hold" until Anders gets back, around Jan. 7. He's the only one who can poke around on the server and find out what's happening.

There is something wrong though with the forum as my control panel is showing my recent messages but my questions from 2015 are missing, the latest one shown is from July 2014.

I even used another browser to be sure to start a new session. Without success though.

Let's wait for Anders as jGromit suggested.

I'm not back yet, but poking anyway...

The SMTP server in Kayas end complains that the forum server isn't set up to the recommendations at http://postmaster.gmx.com/en/best-practice/. It's possibly the Reverse DNS thing that could be improved, but not entirely sure... I can dig deeper when I'm back fully.

Thanks for checking in. I had a hunch that it was going to be something like that, so more experimenting on our side wasn't going to provide any enlightenment.

I just changed my e-mail address again but this time I changed it to another email provider which I hope is less restrictive. Could somebody reply here please to see if it works? Thanks!

Damn, I forgot that jAlbum does not properly update a changed email address. Under "watch options" I still see my former email address. The old address will even persist if I open a new thread, so I'll never receive notifications to a new address. I've tested it already.
Anders, if you cannot fix the forum email server to send notifications could you fix at least that a new email address replaces the former one?

Once again I am not getting email alerts for private messages, newsletters and forum posts are fine though. Only found out as I went to post a message and noticed two new ones.
