Adding Watermark in "effects" and it's not showing up any place, either in slide or picture.

Why?

sample album I'm working on...

Did you click "Make all"? That takes more time than "Make changes" but is required because all images need to be processed again to be watermarked.

I just tested this. LightFlow is ignoring watermark filters applied through the Effects panel. I suspect that because LightFlow has its own filters, those are overriding the jAlbum filters.

I just made a test. LightFlows shows the watermark. Which settings did you use?

The other Effects panel, the one that applies to all images in the album, not just the one currently open for editing. Screenshot.

LightFlow ignores it. Default settings.

Good to know! However, why jAlbum has two options at different level which seem to do the same? At least there is work around by using the other option which does the same.

They don't do the same thing. One option, Effects in edit mode, is for a single image, the other option, the main Effects panel, is for the entire album.

When David introduced the Effects panel, I yanked out the stuff in my own skins for watermarking images, precisely because having the same stuff in two places was a recipe for trouble!

So how are you supposed to do your watermark then?
Your screen shot is exactly where I've been doing them...

Found the filter and where this is supposed to work...OYYYY...not as easy to do as in the effects panel. Doesn't let you change much as a watermark as far as colors...but other parts of it are cool...

And I got it on the thumbnails but not on the slides, even though there's an option there...

What's up with that?

Never mind..doesn't show it locally in jalbum but works fine on the web...

jgromit, you are right, it's better to remove redundant stuff. Once removed, jAlbum's filters work without problem. This is because LightFlow removed all other filters before processing the images which was needed when another skin (which may have used filters too) was selected before LightFlow. In this case jAlbum kept the filters of the previous selected skin which resulted in applying filters twice or more.
susannb, I'll send you the fixed version of LightFlow asap.

Yes, I guessed that that's what LightFlow was doing (and for good reason at the time).

David's user interface for the filters is a lot better than mine were (or yours), so it was an easy decision to fall back on his. The tougher decision is whether to get rid of the skin's thumbnail text and logo filters - the jAlbum Effects panel applies only to slide images. And there are no border filters at all (that's done better with CSS these days).

Ok, Effects panel applies only to slide images!? Is there a good reason for? JAlbum could add an option to be applied also to thumbnail images.
As for me, I'll remove filters from LightFlow. It's jAlbums turn to do this from now on.
