When I add webpage into year-index page (nice, that it works also per drag'n dorp), jA strips HTML code from Comment and keeps just text....

When you're doing drag-and-drop, or even copy-and-paste, your operating system is usually going to grab just the text. It doesn't bring any HTML tags with it, since usually you don't want that (if you're copying text from a web page, all the associated HTML and CSS is usually not what you want). You need to copy from the source code of the page.

But I don't think I would do that. What you're trying to do is fairly simple, so you'd be better off just getting the plain text, then adding some simple HTML tags to it manually. In fact, most of it doesn't need any HTML or CSS at all. For example, getting things into paragraphs is handled automatically by jAlbum/Tiger. See enter.png and result.png.

A couple of quick "bold" tags on the second paragraph, and you're good to go. See enter2.png and result2.png.

Then to left-align, tell Tiger to do that in its Custom code > CSS:
.thumbnails .column .card .caption {text-align: left;}
See result3.png.

One step at a time, and it ends up taking only a few tiny bits of code.

Dear Gee Jey, thank You, but You didn't get the point, sorry it's surely because my poor English.

Look, I have some thousand events that I ordered by years: https://cross-press.net/Docu/index.htm The year pages (self made in DW) are static/non-responsive and thereby outdated: https://cross-press.net/Docu/2019.htm

So I try to make year pages in jA: year-album for each year, that contains all event-albums of that year - album of albums, as described here:
https://jalbum.net/help/en/Making_an_album_of_albums_with_web_locations

Therefore, I drag each event-URL (i.e.: https://cross-press.net/Docu/GLAUBE/Seitenstetten/2019.10.31-NachtDer1000Lichter/index.htm) from browser to a year project.

And it works ... almost. Just, jA strips HTML when importing "Comment" from webalbum into year project. So, the news-text (i.e.: Date - Title - Subtitle - Text - Links) on year-page is not formatted any more, as it is on event-page.

Again: left is it as described, right is as it should be: https://cross-press.net/2019

Any chance to tell the froggie :) not to delete HTML in Comment when importing page from web ?

Thanks a lot.

Ah, OK, I'm getting there.... You're adding existing albums as web locations to a "year" album.

That brings the album description from the existing album, but only if it's using a skin from the same family, it would appear (when I do the same thing with other skins, the description doesn't come in with the web location at all, with or without its HTML). And yes, if the year album and the existing album are in the same family, it brings in the description without its HTML.

I'm not sure who's doing what, and to whom, here. It feels like a functionality of the jAlbum core, rather than the skin. Maybe Laza has a better insight into this.

Dear Gee Jey !

I thought: OK, if I cannot manage it with Tiger (that I like and need because of shopping cart), I could give Pluto a try and realise year page with it.

And than, just when I download it, I read Your words: "It brings the album description from the existing album, but only if it's using a skin from the same family". :(

Btw, why is it not possible to create "album of albums" locally ? I guess, it would make the giving-over of variables easier to code.

Am I wrong, when I think the "album of albums" need some upgrade ?

Perhaps that could be improved. But remember, web locations can be used for creating a master album that points to any other websites, not just other jAlbum albums. See, for example, https://jgromit.com/venus/weblocations/. I wouldn't want to lose that flexibility.

Right. :)

But for me, I don't think I'm gonna put such big advert for New York Times on my website as You do. ;)

And for linking NYT in text, I would be SO GREAT to have finally text editor in jA. :) :) :)
