Jupiter - Info button missing on certain pages

On the index pages, the "i" button doesn't appear. It does appear on the album home page, and also on the slide pages. I haven't publish my album in Jupiter yet so I don't have any example links to show. Checking against Gromit, I think the following code is missing: <a><img src="../res/info.png" alt="Info" title="Info"></a>

You've lost me, there. The info page link has never appeared on slide pages - it was never intended to. It appears on the top level thumbnail page. It appears on folder level thumbnail pages if you haven't checked Jupiter/Gromit > Info Page > General > Link on top level only.

Oops. You're correct, Info is not on the slide pages. I was looking at one window too many!

Thanks for the setting. Thought I'd faithfully applied the same settings between Gromit and Jubiter, obviously didn't!

Info is now visible but...some wrapping issues in Jupiter.

Before you spend too much time on this. I'm going back to basics and start adding CSS styling one change at a time :)

I don't know what "wrapping issues" you're referring to.

But be aware that Jupiter handles non-fixed-shape thumbnails differently than Gromit. And I'm still tinkering with that for the next Jupiter release. It's tough to know what's best to do in various situations.

Sorry, I should have explained myself more clearly.

As far as I could see, .ju-navleft was set by the skin to a width of 108px but this is not wide enough to accommodate 4 buttons of 32px width. So this was causing the last button to move below the other buttons i.e. the "wrapping issue". I've checked further now and found that this was caused by a Cloudflare cache issue with the cached code being re-used for only 3 buttons.

Purged cache, all working now :)

With the next release of Jupiter, more things are going to be handled "on the fly" with jQuery, which makes caching issues a bit worse.

What I was referring to relates to the thumbnail layout when not using fixed shape thumbs. Compare the two screenshots attached. Which is better? Depends on the material.

It's not an issue if there are captions on the thumbnails - in that case, I enforce a fixed width so that the captions on narrow verticals don't get squeezed and line-wrapped to death.

I can't decide which layout is better. Perhaps the one that is more spread-out?

It really depends on the aspect ratios of the images, and in what order they appear. If you had a bunch of portrait mode images in a row, they would look absurdly spread out if they were all lined up with an invisible 200x200 grid. If they're mostly landscape, it doesn't matter very much. But that's why there's no solution that works best all of the time.

This, of course, is why some skins just do fixed shape thumbnails, and don't mess with it any further. Of if they do non-fixed shape thumbnails, they put them in fixed shape boxes.
