Video File Formats in FotoSlide for the iPad

Has anyone figured out what video file formats actually work in FotoSlides that will play on an iPad? I've tried every possible format (e.g. mp4, ogg, flv, WebM) using every possible encoder (e.g. Handbrake, AVS video converter, Adobe).

I can't get the videos to run anywhere. In IE9 on Win7, all videos simply have an 'X' when click on it. In Firefox on Win7, a message 'No video with supported format and MIME type found'. On the ipad, the video is highlighted, but doesn't play.

Does anyone have videos working?

Does anyone have a video file in FotoSlide that actually plays on their PC or better yet, on their iPad? How was the video file created?

I've not tried it but would expect H.264 (mp4) to be one of the most popular, and thus best supported, file formats for video. Handbrake converts video to that format, have you tried it?

Thanks for responding RobM.

Yeah, tried to create mp4 files with ever software program imaginable, including Handbrake. No luck. My guess --- if is a software bug and video files don't play in FotoSlides.

That list needs an update, at least a partial one. For MPEG-4, Firefox 21+ on Win7/Win8 platforms will play them. Still no joy with FF on Mac or older Windows platforms.
