download setting in galleries enabled but unable download

i am running mac os 10.5.8 on a powerbook (g4 power pc 1.67 ghz, pre intel).
some of my galleries have the 'download' widget enabled. when i 'click' download nothing happens.
help please.

The widget is using Java (a Java applet) to handle the download. Is it the "Start download..." button you are pressing and nothing happens?

'download' option in settings enabled.
the link to my gallery shows the download widget on the bottom of the screen.
once selected a 'download' botton appears. and after 'clicking' it nothing further happens.
no download even after waiting for more than 1o min.
i tried this numerous times with same results.
internet browser: safari 5.0.6

Which album are you referring to? The download widget will probably not work with albums that are password protected.
