help needed for using server mode

Hi, I´ve some questions about using the server mode of Jalbum.
When you start Jalbum from the command line, you can give your project file as a parameter and although the output directory as a parameter. How is Jalbum handle it because the output directory is already included in the project file as a parameter?!
Sure I tried it and realised Jalbum is ignoring the entry in the project file and is using the default (I didn´t use the output parameter at the command line).
Does that mean I have to give every parameter in the command line even when it´s included in the project file already?
If important: I´m using the chameleon skin in my project file.

Thank

Jalbum should respect all project file settings and use those in command line mode too unless you override those settings on the command line. What "output directory" is i picking for you?

Thank you for your quick reply!
One minute ago after 2h hours of experimentation I figured out that I typed projectfile instead of projectFile aarrrggghhhh!!!
So Jalbum ignored my file without notice...
Now every parameter is used as it´s expected to be.

But thanks, I now can generate my albums straight from inside IMatch.

Ah, sorry about that. These parameters, as any Jalbum variable are case sensitive. We should make that more clear in the updated docs.

After solving other problems I ended up generating a new album in the server mode of Jalbum.
Now I try to upload the album on my server. Jalbum connects the right way but: If I set the parameter remoteDirectory which doesn´t exist on the server I receive an error message.
Is there a way to tell Jalbum in server mode to create the remote directory if it doesn´t exist?

Not yet, but I'm going to fix that for the next version. Also to enable you to only specify a projectFile in order to have the right publishing settings set.

Here's a download for you so you don't have to wait for the official release:
Just replace your lib/jalbum-core.jar with this file

Hi David

working perfect, it´s not necessary to include the ftp details with password anymore, thanks a lot!
