Why are my pictures not displaying correctly?

Hi everyone!

I just signed up for the free website a few days ago and uploaded a few pictures in three galleries. However, when I look at the pictures, I see an ugly halo around the images and especially around the text. These pictures displays properly on other sites such as pbase and every other forum where I post images, so I'm sure it is not an issue with the images. I suspect it may be an incorrect setting I chose but I can't seem to pinpoint the problem.

The thumbnails are also distorted and show the same problem with the halo around them.
I would like to upgrade to the pay gallery but would like to resolve this issue before uploading all my pictures and then discovering that I need to do it all over.
I'm using the Chameleon skin and all my editing is on a MacBook Pro running Leopard.

This is my address: robateau.jalbum.net , and the problem is most noticeable in the birds gallery.
Any help you may give will be greatly appreciated

I'm not seeing any haloes around anything, nor do the thumbnails appear distorted in any way (they're square-cropped, but that's a function of the Galleria skin).

See the attached screenshot, which illustrates what a page of your "birds" album looks like to me.

I agree with EarlyOut, the photos look perfect (nice photos by the way).
I tested with Firefox (1920X1200 pixels screen)
