link and text colors and fonts in Galleria

After a great deal of kind help in the general discussion forum I actually think I am making progress using Jalbum and this useful skin (Galleria). Thanks to the forum, I was able to set up my own background jpg with Galleria!

Especially useful in Galleria is the header and footer html option. After some trial & error developing html with Dreamweaver and then copying it into the header/footer fields of Galleria I almost feel like I could set Dreamweaver aside and do my entire website using jalbum and Galleria!

Fonts and link colors are my challenge now.
  • Is there a way to allow the default browser color for links to be used?

As for fonts, I have tried fiddling with (what I think are) the appropriate css files but I am unsure as to whether what I am doing is working. :D

  • Is it possible to alter the font styles/colors/sizes?

If it would be helpful, my "operational" site is http://www.bellmatics.com and the "beta" site page I am working on with Jalbum and Galleria is http://www.bellmatics.com/4005-7000/4005-7000_8N1004/index.htm

Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
JohnN

There are two CSS files that you need to modify. The first is "index.css" which is found in the skin's "res" directory. This file defines fonts and font sizes.

The second file is "Dark.css" or "Light.css" (depending on which look you use), both are found in the "styles" directory. These files defines all the colors (fonts colors, link colors, background colors etc.).

Many thanks! Is it possible to just leave the color specifications out of those css files and let the browser default take over?

Yes, if you remove these definitions completely the colors will revert to the browser defaults.

I did that "kristoffer" and it works like a charm!!

I also saw your post in another Galleria thread about including a photo in the root folder so that an image would appear at that level. Can't wait to test it out!!
