I just created an album with Chameleon . All my pictures are geotagged with GPS reference. When I click on "voir la carte" (= see the map - my site is in French), a GoogleMaps appears wich is nice but.... the localisation is based on Country Name and City Name (quite imprecise) and not on the GPS data (lattitude / longitude) wich are on the picture.
Is it the normal behaviour of Chameleon or did I do a mistake... and if so, wich one ?
By default Chameleon looks for the GPS data embedded, and if none found it uses the Iptc.location fields. Google also has changed it's calling standards, so now instead of the exact location it centers the map around the nearest highlight. I have corrected this issue, just haven't released a newer skin version yet.
Thanks for the reply. All of my pictures were geotagged with GeoSetter (wich is working with Exiftool) !!
I don't know if it's JAlbum of Chameleon wich didn't recognize the GPS data
In attachment, a test picture with a print screen of the GPS data
For some reason your GPS data is not read by Jalbum at all. Try !metadat scouting on Settings / Chameleon / Metadata and you will see all the fields Jalbum can extract.
I checked as you mentionned (it's strange, because I put the interface of JAlbum in English but Chamaleon stay in French) and I've noticed that very few pictures' GSP Data are recognized. I don't know why...
I will perform a new test with the next version !
