Updated today to the 13.10 and 1.7.3. Rebuilt the album. Everything looks good so far, but there are a couple of small things:
1. The summary on front page reads:

"This album has 5912 items in total | Album was updated 04.02.0017 | jAlbum - customizable web photo albums, custom skin ExhibitPlus 1.7.3"

2. Was the version of JAlbum listed in that text with the 1.6.x versions of skin?

1) The date format is set in the ExhibitPlus General settings. What date format do you use?

2) The jAlbum version is provided in the "generator" variable. ExhibitPlus displays this variable. Maybe old versions of jAlbum did not include the version number in this variable.

The jAlbum version is only displayed when you hover over the jAlbum credit.

1) dd.MM.yyyy
I am somewhat concerned about losing 2 millenias ;)

2) Yes, the major version number is displayed as a tooltip. Maybe I could make that generator variable to contain also the minor version number? Should I search for it in JAlbum files (and edit it) or to create User variable instead?

You can use this to show the minor version as well
title="jAlbum ${internalVersion}"

However, I checked my generated album, and it already shows a tooltip "jAlbum 13.10", so no change is necessary. I don't understand why you are not seeing the minor version number.
Also, I cannot replicate your problem with the date. I use the same date format and I see a date containing 2017.

I am not sure where to investigate next.

There is also a date format in the album settings advanced tab. Make sure that this is the same as the date format in the E+ settings.
I will remove the E+ date format in the next update.

The ${generator} variable shows jAlbum 13.10. The ${internalVersion} variable shows jAlbum 13.10.3.

Yes. I tinkered a bit and found that if these two were different, you were in no-man's-land. ;)

Thank you, guys. As always, you are great.

1) after setting the same date format in JAlbum/Advanced (it was empty) as it was in E+ everything is good now.
2) with "short" tooltip problem it was operator's (mine) mistake: I looked at the wrong uploaded copy, and I even missed the fact it was showing "12". So in the current version it's actually OK.

E+ 1.7.4 fixes these problems.

The E+ documentation indicates that it is intentional to have two date formats. I don't know why. Consequently I have not removed the E+ date format. The date in the index page footer uses the jAlbum date format. Other dates use the E+ date format. This is the same as how it worked in E+ 1.6.

I also show the jAlbum minor version number in the footer tooltip.

The two date formats do not have to be the same.
