Do not use albumfiles.txt?

Is there a way to tell a project not to use the albumfiles.txt file?

I am struggling to construct an album which must ignore certain folders, and want to avoid the brute force method of building everything then re-building the relevant folders. The normal Ignore Pattern method is proving less than adequate.

One can Exclude folders in a project (.jap) GUI, and the info is stored in albumfiles.txt. However, the next project used in building the whole album inherits the albumfiles.txt settings ... so I would like to know if one can tell the following-on project to ignore the albumfiles.txt settings.

The obvious answer is to intervene manually ... but I would like this to occur programatically via a batch file/Console Mode.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Mark

You could have your batch file rename it to albumfiles.dontuse, run the project that doesn't use it, then rename it back to albumfiles.txt.

Woo! Hoo! Works like a dream! Thanks :D

If I can resolve the command line Ignore Pattern issue (posted elsewhere) I'll have the neater solution, but I LOVE workarounds like this ... a bit of lateral thinking.

Once you resolve the command line "Ignore Pattern" issue may be you could document it under "Tips & Tricks" - what do you think?

Personally, I think that might not work out .... but any solution (including this one) should get posted in T&T :)
