Something a little different to start the 2011 season off. I was very fortunate to be in Oman on a family visit whilst the Tour of Oman was taking place. The following pictures capture the start of the mountain section on day two and include pictures not generally shown. From a personal point of view the excitement of the event along with the friendliness of both spectators and officials is something that will stay with me for a long time. Oman and it's beauty is something that can't be shown with a handfull of photographs, only a visit can do that, but I have included a few pictures from our trip.

26th November, a well attended evening where Brian Newton spoke to the juniors and adults at the Stratford Cycling Club's Annual Awards Ceremony - he talked about 'aspiring to be the best' and 'we do it because we can'. Arja Scarsbrook, Gold Medal winner on the track, presented the Awards.
