You can also install the skin by unzipping this file into the skin folder.

Description

PopSlide presents images in an elegant way within your web pages. Use it to save space when displaying a collection of images. It offers your visitors a simple way to show a large version of your image without leaving the page.

It is based on Christoph Schuessler's jQuery Plugin, PopEye, which was designed as an alternative to a lightbox popup. In contrast to a lightbox, it does not employ a modal window to display the large images. It takes a different approach by allowing for browsing all thumbnails as well as large images in a single image space. It also respects the page flow and stays anchored and rooted in the webpage at all times, giving a less disruptive user experience than modal windows.

The issue you are having is not with the skin but how you ar unzipping the file. I am assuming you are using Windows? Try installing using the "jaskin" file, not the zip but if you use the zip you must put the PopSlide folder in the skins folder, not the folder containing the PopSlide folder.

I would like to try this out as it looks like a skin that will serve multiple needs for the various websites I design. However, when I try to open the file after downloading I get an "invalid parameter" message. I also tried downloading the zip file and then unzipped it in the skins folder. It showed up in the Jalbum list of skins, but when I went to use it got a "invalid file path" message. BTW when I unzip the folder it creates a second folder named PopSlide and I think this is where the file is that JAlbum is trying to acces. Any help would be appreciated.

You would need to copy the code produced by the skin into your own page. The javascript and Stylesheet are put into the section of your page and the code from the section into the particular point in your webpage where you want it to appear.
