Install skin

You can also install the skin by unzipping this file into the skin folder.

Description

* Functional appearance.
* Optional comments on right hand side of each slide by associating a simple text (txt) file with each slide image (jpg) file. Very useful if other people, without JAlbum, are supplying the images and comments.
* Camera EXIF data shown if present in the images.
* Almost all the variables can be customised - text sizes, text colors, background colors, borders on/off, border colors, image mapping, grayscaling thumbnails and/or slides, copyright, and watermarking. etc.
* The skin format is non-expanding width wise - you choose the image width and optional comments width (in pixels) to fit the screen resolution.
* Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict

Maclolm, not sure what you mean. The nine images on page 1, labelled 'Imperial War Museum, London', 'Dunrobin Castle', 'Fort Augustus', etc are all links to Albums created using the Astronomy skin even only one Album contains astronomical images.The Skin name 'Astronomy' is maybe not appropriate, but it was originally intended for astronomical images. Let me know if this answers you question.

The "Sample Album" button goes to the author's jAlbum albums, not an album using the Astronomy skin. Is there an album using the Astronomy skin to view?

Solution to comment below - You can just untick the "Navigation links on slides" and "show comments" options to disable these features. You can then save the modified project as either hints.jap, replacing the original "hints.jap" file in the skin folder or as any project name you want in any folder you want.

I have been using this skin for a while now and find it really useful, especially as I build strict compliant websites. I'm in the process of looking at building something similar to this without the image map option and optional comments as this isn't what I use for every album. I think this is the best strict valid XHTML based Album on the site! Posted 3 minutes ago
