XHTML 1.0 Strict, CSS level 2.1
No inline frames, no Flash, no JavaScript required.
The basic look is "classic", clean and simple, though it is highly customizable. Thumbnails are aligned at their base for a clean look when images of various height or captions spanning multiple lines are present.
Subdirectories are displayed as ringbook style mini-albums - choose from 10 different designs.
New user-defined color styles can be easily created and saved from the skin's settings interface.
Some features:
- Cross Folder Navigation: "Next image" can cross folder boundaries now! The last image in one folder will link to the first image of the next neighbouring folder and vice versa.
- Image filter support (shadows, watermark, greyscale, logo, shadow text, random thumbnail rotation)
- Direct high-resolution image download via a 'download' button
(no need to 'right click - save as...' on the image).

- Custom logo image on index pages
- Extensive metadata (EXIF/IPTC) display options

Pure CSS, no JavaScript needed.
Unfortunately, the effect will not be visible in MS Internet Explorer up to version 6 (incl.), as IE does not fully comply with W3C standards and simply ignores the code. Note: This is NOT a "Optimized for xyz browser" setting, it is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2.1 code, which should be recognized by all modern browsers. If not, it displays plain and simple as if the option was not checked.
+ Image border width for thumbnails and slides can be set by user.
+ Rating available not only for images, but also for folders.

I see this code in your index page HTML which was *not* generated by jAlbum or the skin, and it overrrides the skin's colors: body,td,th { color: #006600; } body { background-color: #aed652; } If you want to set the skin's colors so that they match the colors in the above code, go to Settings > Classic Aligned 2 > Custom style > CSS select the desired colors there and select the "Custom" style from the dropdown box (right above 'Make Album')

You can add MP3files to an album just like any photo. Re the background color - it should generally be the same for all album pages - can you provide a link to a non-working example?

It is in no way controlled by the skin how videos are played. This is all up to the browser and the viewer's computer setup. The skin simply links to a video file without any further action.

Nice and clean skin, which is what I'm looking for. Just a question: for the "Square thumbnails", there are two modes: sueezed or cropped. Could you add a third one where photos are put inside the square without crop nor deformation, just reduced to fit along the largest side? Thanks.

This is the skin's default behavior, *without* any square thumbnails option selected.
