After working with medium format in Kenya in the 60's for a book project on Makonde carvings - "Modern Makonde Sculpture" J Anthony Stout. I switched back to 35mm in 1970, then to DSLR digital in 2002. This last switch coincided with an introduction to haiku and it was a natural fit to combine haiku/tanka poetry with digital images in a form known as photo-haiga.
