There is a lot of action at the Jalbum office. We are almost ready to launch the new site and are testing it like crazy right now. We have invited our dear forum admins in the testing phase to get some fresh eyes on the creation. Their input has been very valuable to us and lead to some good improvements on site navigation and structure.


Kristoffer is moving the final project tasks on our Scrum wall.

We will launch the new site next Tuesday, September 1st, from 10am CEST. Jalbum.net will be unavailable for a couple for hours during the launch.

Congratulations all Canon camera owners. You are the leading majority of all Jalbum users when it comes to using your camera.

A couple of months ago we decided to do a little data-crunching project to investigate what kind of cameras we as a community prefer. We crunched all the albums on our servers and extracted the data about each image. The result of the most popular camera used is this list:

Right now the site twitter is down. Rumors say that Facebook is having problems too. It's a massive hysteria out there and we hope nothing bad happened. We love Twitter and hope it's back soon.

We've made an update to the "About" widget. It now displays more info about you (the photographer) and the album. The About widget is an easy way for you to give your visitors more background about what they are viewing. Here's the info that the About widget displays:

- User name / Name
- Location
- Link to Home page
- Description about you (the photographer)
- Album title
- Album description
- Last updated
- Link to the skin being used
- Thumbnails to more albums from you - makes browsing easy!
