Get updated in the wonderful world of jAlbum

Did you know that you can add widgets to a Jalbum even if you host your albums on your own website?  You still need to create a free Jalbum account in order to add and administrate widgets, but where you publish the album is entirely up to you!

Every time you sign in to the Jalbum software (version 8.1 and later) your albums will be created with widgets enabled no matter where they are published.  To add widgets, just sign in to Jalbum.net and you will see a "manage widgets" button next to your published albums (even when they are published on your own site) and select the widgets you want to enable.  It's a great way to get feedback on your albums.

Still need more help?  Try this tutorial.

Hi Matla, it seems that you have not logged into the software when making the Jalbum. In the top right corner of the software you'll find where to log in, then click Make Jalbum and publish again. Now does it work?

Thanks Dor - when all else fails, call in the experts! All my stuffing about seems to have made me lose my listing in "most popular" - hope to catch up again soon.
Regards, and thanks to all offering assistance and advice.

Hi mikedl, I found out what's wrong. You added the album with the old url "myjalbum". I have added your album with the correct url, please try to add widgets now. You can change the title and description too.

I really appreciate ALL the advice, and I have tried all your kind directions, but no success. This is very frustrating - don't know what I'm doing wrong anymore. Just looking to add a simple hit-counter. Something's wrong here.

mikedl: Try to unlist your albums (from your Albums page) and Add them again from there.

mikedl, i had to turn on the feature in my skin. i am at work so i don't remember exactly where i found it, but i believe if you go into the settings of your album and choose the skin settings, there is a place to turn the widget control on and off. i use the chameleon skin.
