I'm now looking forward to the promised "own backgrounds" functions, but was hoping that there would be more options in basic homepage design than the standard template with just different colour schemes and (dare I say) awful rounded box corners. Will some more design options be coming? Also, it would be great if we can have some basic text editing choices like different fonts, bold, italic, underlines, justification etc. If I'm missing these functions, I'd be glad if you can correct my errant ways.

It would have been a better approach for you to give us a choice and not just make the switch . I've now got to spend time redirecting my domain name to point at my original index page and not your new one.

I love jalbum and admire your work but I can't help but feel slightly annoyed that you've assumed you know best regarding what we all want.

In short a great step forward for JAlbum but it could have been handled better.

- you've made one album with several sub-categories. If you want each category to show up as a thumbnail on your home page, you can simply break them out to seperate albums
- We will add more options to customize your home page, changing the size of the album picture on your home page is something we have discussed
- If people like your album or follow you they will be notified each time you make an update. It is a convenient way for you to notify your fans. It is also add an entry in your guest book so people who visit your web site know when your album is updated the last time. You can always delete those entries if you don't want them there.

We felt that instead of trying to compete with all thousands of other web hosts we should focus on what we do best, to help people put beautiful photo albums on the web. We also noticed that a lot of our users were confused by the old hosting setup which also contributed to the decision to move away from being a general purpose web host and instead focus on album centric hosting.

Regarding your site, if you go to megatoad.jalbum.net/index.html you'll see that your index page still works, and it seems like your megatoad.co.uk site is pointing to that specific index page and not to megatoad.jalbum.net which means that your site will continue to work, or perhaps I have misunderstood your problem?
